So I had a bad case of pre-lease jitters before the release of His Perfect Melody. I started thinking up all of the what ifs. What if no one buys my book? What if people read my book and don't like it? What if I wasted the last two years of my life chasing this dream of becoming a published author?
I had a chat with God and He told me to flip those what ifs. What if a lot of people buy your book? What if people read your book and love it? What if the last two years of your life were well spent in you chasing your dreams? After flipping my negative thoughts to positive thoughts, I can honestly say those jitters left and the release of my first book is well in my soul!
I started with a dream, set some goals, turned those goals into a plan, took action and now my DREAM is my REALITY! If you have a dream you are chasing, I encourage you to keep going until it becomes your reality. Getting to the end result is not going to be easy. There will be ups and downs, some bumps in the road and some setbacks. But, if you keep pressing forward and persevering, you'll get there. When you accomplish that goal and that feeling of "I did it" washes over you, it will all have been worth it!
